Given that they are serious, though, and the subject, maybe they should be taken deadly seriously.
In revenge for reminding me of Frontpage I will also mention Dreamweaver
Small business owners learning about word2html.net for the first time…
I’m just saying, this is an arms race and nobody will win.
You’re absolutely right about the danger of giving up your phone, if the police wanted to take it from you. By sticking with traditional documents you remove any pretense they might have to try. It is not a stupid call, it’s just less convenient - but then, security is always a compromise with accessibility.

For wanting to leave a legacy that will last, and a message for anyone or anything that finds it? No, that’s not insane, that’s understandable, I think.
What will determine the insanity quotient is the message you want to inscribe.
Exactly! I can cook, I just choose not to most of the time haha!
Ah, I’ve never worked food service (which I view as privilege; it sounds like it would be very hard for me as I struggle with sensory overload and emotional overwhelm, even in less busy and stressful environments) so maybe that has something to do with it.
I hear you on the creativity; while I was still young and learning, my ex-wife did refuse to eat my cooking after the second recipe I “modified” “creatively”. But really there was just too much lemon in the lemon chicken, and it’s not like it was mostly lemon. Just very lemony 😂
That’s odd; I only enjoy cooking when I’m cooking for others. If it’s just me, I don’t give a fuck; pb&j, or I’ll order, or Soylent… Or I just don’t eat, much easier.
Oh, it’s not just your pet peeve - The Queen really hates it, too!
Source code was leaked?
TFW it’s just Pokemon Red copied and pasted 35 times, in Word 2003, with mail merge tokens to replace character, location, and skill names:
I don’t know that “comedy” belongs in front of that prediction…
Where would an open source LLM that you run locally phone home to, exactly? It requires a lot of GPU compute, do you think someone’s just going to give that away for free, without even requiring an account they can turn into saleable data?
But wait, there’s an even better way to be sure: download OpenHardwareMonitor so you can watch your GPU go to 100%, and this or GPT4All or something. Then airgap your computer, and try it yourself.
His defenses include fair use, invalid copyrights, a lack of standing, fraudulent inducement, an arbitration clause, failure to state a claim, and unjust enrichment.
Many of these (in fact, all but the arbitration clause; that’s probably from their TOS but won’t save him) are SovCit arguments and simply do not apply. They’re going to be dismantled in seconds in court, and I know that with at best a slightly-better-than-layperson understanding of the law. This guy is going to get thoroughly Bowser’d.
As reported by Torrent Freak, Ryan Daly, the alleged owner of modding company Modded Hardware, has denied any wrongdoing in court — even that he owns and operates the business at all.
Daly mostly responded to the lawsuit’s claims by saying “denied” and otherwise claimed he lacked “sufficient information to either admit or deny the allegations.” His defenses include fair use, invalid copyrights, a lack of standing, fraudulent inducement, an arbitration clause, failure to state a claim, and unjust enrichment.
This guy sounds halfway to SovCit and entirely fucked.
Because I’m right, and there are downvotes. People use the downvote button to disagree, so they are wrong, because what I said is a fact 🤷♀️
There is a massive, concerted effort by the right wing to take over or government, and nobody seems to care enough to stop them, so they’re probably going to pull it off this time.
And I’ll want an apology - when I’m right and not before - because I’ve had a really hard day. I answer questions all day, and get told I don’t know what I’m talking about when I do, and then I have to explain why I’m right every single time. I always get told I don’t know what I’m talking about, and then I turn out to be right.
I was looking for a couple of events, and one of them was the court making Trump above the law. I didn’t think there was any way that could work, because they’d have to ignore the Constitution. But here we are, so all bets are off and I don’t have any hope the good guys will win anymore.
Uh-huh. Ignore everything else that’s happened just this year, then. Ignore all the obvious preparations they’ve been making, how they’ve stacked the courts. It’s gonna work out great.
Bush v. Gore. Contention, no proof. Since when has this SCOTUS ever shied from doing something it “can’t”? Roe v. Wade. Presidents are kings.
Sorry bud, it’s not looking good, and believe you me will I be voting. But it’s not even a question that they’re trying coup 2.0.
I thought mine was funny because I had not seen that, and I am humbled. Damn. Fukken saved.
