Every time the fascists try to take rights away, the French people mutilate Paris again, and it works. Also women’s suffrage, gay rights, civil rights movement (yes, it was under THREAT of violence, not nonviolence). It’s simple: you cannot beg power to abdicate itself.

It worked great in France too, and still is. Every time the fascists try to take rights away, the French people mutilate Paris again, and it works.
