Apologies if this violates sub rules. I did read them, and it said we should only post links to “articles”. Although this is a YouTube video, I think it qualifies because it is an opinion piece with clear points and context.

Ian Danskin is a freaking national treasure. Please consider sponsoring him if finances allow.

He has other fantastic videos as well, such as a short series about Protagony (not technically NSFW but warning along those lines regardless) - well worth the time if you enjoy deep applied philosophy.

Also, while I would not start with it bc it’s dated and niche, the Why are you so angry? series delves into the beginnings of the revival of the fascist movement in the modern United States, so possibly worthwhile for someone who already enjoyed the Alt Right Playbook.

    His videos are so awesome!!:-D

This is a video from The Alt-Right Playbook, a video essay series by Innuendo Studios. These videos are all very well-researched and have source links in the video descriptions.

    such hits include:

    I highly recommend the watch!

I think people confuse militarism with fascism. I don’t see any evidence that liberalism wants to create rabidly nationalistic, hierarchical, ethno-states. To the contrary, they tend to fight for people’s freedom and equality.

Liberals have been becoming more militaristic though, because at the end of the day, certain problems can genuinely only be solved through violence or the threat of it. Organized violence directed at you or your society is one of those things.

People hope we don’t have to go to war, but a man like Churchill did not bend when it arrived on his doorstep. That does not make him fascist, however.
