This very article has already been updated to say the story is not true.

A significant portion of Trump’s base are going to have problems voting for a non-white woman.

As far as Trump’s base is concerned, that’s the worst thing you could be.

Disclaimer: I don’t actually know or care, but I can guess the rumors will fly.

Republicans don’t actually know this. I used her dead name to them and they had no idea who it was.

Given that the Hindu population of India is actively trying to assassinate peaceful Sikh leaders worldwide and oppress the Sikh people, you should care.

If they actually stood by anything they said it would be. They’ll all march in lockstep as soon as someone tells them to.

Particularly when I keep reminding them that she’ll become president when the old fart kicks, which going by his rapid decline, he almost certainly will.

I love that you can replace many of the words in the sentence and it still tracks. (Not quite all, there are a few that don’t work)

Just because Trump‘s team is considering her, does not mean she is considering him. She already said she wouldn’t give him an endorsement, I doubt she would run with him.

Or she’s telling them she is running independent.

But, it would be on brand for a Republican to flip and then say they never did

I guess it doesn’t matter now that Trump said no, but if she ran in the primary (or was registered as a candidate) she may have been required to sign a “no spoilers” agreement to not run as a third party. I don’t think all states have it, but I know that at least some do.

That’s moot. His supporters aren’t going to switch their vote to Biden over this.

What this may do, however, is prevent some moderate Republicans from switching their vote to Biden.

This is a smart move. Smart enough that I doubt the Clown Prince of Diapers came up with it himself.

Imagine applying for the role of mob victim in January 2028 when Trump incites his followers at the National Mall to go secure him a third term.
