I read the article. And I dont like Alito, or the politicization of the SCOTUS. I still think this is rage bait and not terribly newsworthy.

I’m sorry, why do you think SCOTUS has become so politicized? Could it be because the GOP stole 2 seats and have made a series fmabsurd rulings because of the 6 conservative justices clear political leanings?

Then I don’t see the issue here. They turned it into a circus, so yeah, people are gonna come after them when they show clear political bias. Because we don’t trust them to keep their personal opinions out of it.

It also doesn’t make sense in the context because the question is not whether this was insider trading, but whether it shows a political bias by involving himself in the boycott.

Your comment was as dumb as you probably look. What does Nancy have to do with the OP? You might as well name a bunch of other crimes that don’t relate. It might be more entertaining.

This guy just oozes contempt for his fellow man, imagine the damage he’d do if he was a supreme court judge…

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito sold shares of beer giant Anheuser-Busch InBev as conservatives were ditching the Bud Light brewer…

I don’t like this guy’s decisions but this is just a guy seeing what the trends are and selling stock.

There’s no insider information, why the fuck is this news?

The implication is it was politically/ideologically motivated. Says it right at the start under “Key Points”

Did you read the article? It has nothing to do with insider trading.

I’m simply pointing out that this was never about inside trading and it was never mentioned in the article. I’d say it certainly counts as worthy of suspicion, however, given the recent revelations about how he responded to January 6th. Which is also discussed in the article, mind you. But I don’t want to debate that. Just making sure you guys going off about insider trading actually read it.

If the complaint is that the move was politically motivated in violation of the new code of conduct, that code of conduct only came into effect a few months after the shares were bought and sold. Even then, a reasonable argument could be made that he was instead motivated by the shift in share price. Don’t get me wrong, I think the dude is a piece of shit that should step down for the good of the country, but this is not where we should be wasting our energy caring about.

Feel free to address the contents of the article now that you read it. I was just pointing out that what you were talking about was completely irrelevant.

      From the article:

The transactions have bred fresh accusations that Alito, one of the high court’s six conservatives, is engaging in or aligning with partisan politics, despite a recently adopted code of conduct that directs the justices to “refrain from political activity.”

Honestly, I’m kind of surprised this guy is buying and selling stupid beer stocks and isn’t just letting a brokers and funds deal with that crap.

Never forget a sitting Supreme Court Justice committed perjury to avoid admitting he likes to squirt beer up his ass.

For the record, I believe her, andI don’t believe the rapist who lied under oath.

But we can’t prove he was lying about raping women. We can prove he was lying about he and his friends squirting beer up each others’ asses. We know he and his friends squirted beer into their asses, because they documented a bunch of times they squirted beer up inside each other. That happened, and after swearing an oath to tell the truth in front of Congress and the American People, he lied about it. We know he lied. We can prove a current Supreme Court Justice lied under oath during his confirmation hearing.
