Judge Mary Kay Holthus was unconvinced that Clark County was the appropriate place to hear the case. The state cannot re-file in another county because of a statute of limitations but will appeal the ruling.

    It seems kind of ridiculous that ongoing legal proceedings don’t pause the statute of limitations for this sort of thing.

      Or that what is essentially a court-ordered transfer of venue doesn’t just count as a continuation of the already filed case for whether it’s valid.

    As a person living in the USA, someone who is directly impacted by who sits in the Oval Office, it’s my opinion that we all have standing. Fuck this judge.
