Fun fact: you can make thermite powder from powdered aluminum and iron oxide (rust). Trick is to really get the powder as fine as possible for the best surface area contact between the materials. Magnesium from ferro rods or the flint from lighters might be hot enough to get the reaction going most quickly if you scrape enough into a powder.

Just remember if you’re going to use it to melt steel it’s good to give the thermite a bit of space between the steel and the reaction, since the steel will act as a heat sync and waste a lot of the energy from the reaction as it heats up.

Also, if you mix styrofoam with kerosene in your molotov it will make a sort longer-burning gel substance.

Not sure why that just popped into my head. Wrong thread.

Anyway, get ready for a second Trump term I guess.

My issue with this is that it’s not helpful to anyone to threaten political violence, even if it’s with cute tongue in cheek instructions on how to build a bomb. Actually that’s wrong, it’s helpful to the extreme right because it gives them more ammunition and reason to actually carry out the political violence you joke about.

Being against political violence is a hill I will unironically die on.
