High-energy Kamala works out every day. Don’t you think it’s time for a president under 65 who can lift a glass of water and walk down a ramp?

While she’s super busy helping to run the country, the 59-year-old has made it clear that staying health is a priority for her. So, what does Harris do for wellness? Here’s everything she’s publicly shared about her routine.

Exercise is super important to Harris, and she’ll work up a sweat, even when she’s wiped.

“I work out every morning, regardless of how much sleep I’ve had,” she told former President Barack Obama in a 2020 interview. “It’s just the best way to start the day.”

      This is political because:

      • Both parties have been messaging about age and overall fitness of the candidates, especially Biden, for the last year (technically approaching 6 years, 9 if you count Bernie’s run-up in 2015/16) with increased messaging and pressure over the last month.
      • This is establishing that Kamala Harris is “young”, “fit”, and “mentally sound”.
      • This is messaging she’s capable of doing the job where Biden was precieved he wasn’t due to the above criteria.
      • This is messaging she’s a better candidate in terms of health & wellness over Trump.

That said, Biden is an avid cyclist and goes on regular bike rides, even at his age and political status (COVID and other passing illnesses aside). However, most people weren’t aware of Biden’s fitness routine and extra-cirruclars.

        Not me.

I’m one of those policy wonks who knows that the candidates don’t matter so much as the legislative preferences of their campaign financiers.
