Obviously, I understand that this article is about Biden and he’s currently our president. But he also isn’t running for re-election. Many, including myself have criticized him. But in terms of the future, Biden is irrelevant.
I’m so sick of this bOtH SiDeS argument, it’s just not fair. Yes, there are wealth-seeking, (and even bad) democrats, but the Democratic party is a “big tent” one that welcomes straight/gay/whatever, white/black/other, rich/poor/middle, etc. But come on. The comparison isn’t accurate. The alternative is Republicans who are Big Business, who want to rule women’s bodies, who want to implement minority rule, who would rather have religious freaks make decisions about your health than your doctor, who want a dictator, and who would let Putin and Netanyahu do whatever the hell they want. Democrats want to give you healthcare. And that comparison is coming from an Independent!
That implies we have another choice. Technically, sure, but in terms of impact, no. We currently have a 2-party system and Donald Trump is ahead in the presidential race. You can stay home, you can vote for 3rd-party candidate, both will help elect Donald Trump and his authoritarian vision. People can do what they want, but that’s the reality. IF, after the election and we stave off fascism, you want to fight for election reform, I am 100% on board. But until then, it’s a binary choice. We don’t have to like it, but that’s how it currently is.

Have you been contacting your Representatives and Senator daily to demand they reform our “first past the post” system? No…? Then you can’t demand I quit my job to protest naked and homeless outside the Capitol against both choices who support Israel.
And? The American election is this November, always has been. I opposed Israel’s actions then and I oppose them now. But an American citizen like myself has very little ability to change what another country does internationally. Even our president doesn’t decide everything. But I do know that demonizing the most pro-Palestinian of our 2 choices is literally helping Netanyahu…

Democrats are better than republicans right now, I never said they weren’t. In fact, I said they were. But that does not mean they are good.
