Wednesday night, in Long Island’s 16,000-seat Nassau Coliseum, Donald Trump told the crowd at a rally for his presidential campaign that the United States—and particularly New York City, a few miles away—had […]

It’s not racist unless you use the ‘N’ word.

No /s because that’s the rule in 2024

Or if one anonymous source on FB indicates it might have a sliver of truth to the statement, nevermind it was debunked by 6 media outlets.

Part of the problem is that for the 6 debunking it, there are 26 uncritically amplifying that statement in a flagrant act of journalistic malpractice in service of ending democracy for clicks… Not that anything would change the minds of the MAGAt cultists at this point.

I think the 1st amendment has run amok in this country. Plenty of occasions where lying will get you in deep shit. Calling yourself a “news” org and lying should be illegal.

It’s also thousands of literally-fraudulent AI-written propaganda sites misrepresenting themselves as local news: https://www.newsnationnow.com/business/tech/fake-news-sites-outnumber-us-newspaper-sites/

It’s not very hard to see that 90% of major media outlets want Trump to win. They aren’t incompetent. They aren’t sane-washing his words because they don’t know he says nonsensical and racist shit. They want him to win, for career or ideological reasons.
