    You don’t often see news presenters display emotion regarding the stories they’re reporting. Generally, dispassionate reporting is the order of the day. It’s what makes the exceptions stand out: Herbert Morrison reporting on the Hindenburg, Walter Cronkite reporting on the Kennedy assassination, Peter Jennings invoking the deity twice on 9/11.

    I don’t know about anyone else, but for me, it hits way harder when it’s a meteorologist because of how fucked we are.
