(The Center Square) – Arab Americans are drifting away from supporting Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats as a whole during the Biden-Harris administration, with many defecting to former President

“All the third-party candidates combined receive just 12% of the Arab American vote. Instead, it’s Trump who is the beneficiary of the community’s anger and despair over the Biden Administration’s failure to prevent the unfolding genocide in Gaza,”

And Trump will surely benefit Palestinians and the Arab-American community. This is the dumbest shit I’ve read all week.

It’s a scorched earth mentality now. Both Democrats and Republicans, are allowing Israel to go full throttle on their genocidal campaign. If American politics is going to screw over Arabs, Arabs are going to screw over American politics.

If that’s the case, they won’t get any sympathy from me if Trump wins because they’re really just screwing themselves.

They will when Trump bans Muslims from entering the country, starts treating Arab Americans like second class citizens, and pushes Israel to go even further into war crimes and genocide.

They’re already being treated like second class citizens. Their entire demographic is being treated like a group that can be written off for the sake of political convenience and lobbying money.

And what are Democrats even doing to stop Israel to make them seem better on this topic?

I don’t approve of how Biden has handled the Israel situation and I’m completely opposed to what Israel has done to the Palestinians. But I can assure you that getting Trump into office will make everything much, much worse. My vote is not for Harris as much as it is against Trump.

They know all that. These people all rallied around Biden and voted for him in 2020 because they knew how bad Trump would be. But like I said, they just stopped caring.

I don’t think they care anymore. A lot of these people lost family members to Israel, and then their elected representatives announce that Israel is in the right. Minnesota has a Palestinian who lost 42 family members on a single Israeli aistrike. Then Walz, their governor, goes on national television and says Israel has a right to defend itself. They’re just numb to it all.

Thing of it is, they do have a right to defend themselves.

Problem is, they’ve gone way beyond defending themselves. The death ratio is insane. It’s like shooting a person and their entire family for a cheap hit to the jaw.

If abandoning Harris gets Trump elected, they will only be harming themselves. Trump wants to revoke their citizenship, detain them in concentration camps, and deport them.

        https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-pledges-expel-immigrants-who-support-hamas-ban-muslims-us-2023-10-16/

Because they refuse to support a candidate who is calling for an immediate cease fire and a 2 state solution:

They know all that about Trump. They just don’t care anymore.

And Harris is not saying anything Biden isn’t saying either. And Israel is still going full throttle. So to them, there’s no change.

Abandoning Israel would cause all the AIPAC and Evangelical dollars to flow into the Republican campaigns and they’d lose the election.

There is no Palestinian PAC to make up the difference.

Yes, you prove my point. Both parties are captured by AIPAC. So, the Dems will happily continue to look past the genocide even if it costs them elections

Exactly this. In addition to the Jewish voting bloc having a more realistic alternative, there’s also a money issue. Basically Dems are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
