What I was referring to is progress via government. There is no reality where we get what we want for a very long time. If we blow this now by sitting it out we just extend that timeline exponentially.

Well I’m old. EVERY elections, regardless of who wins, the losing side has the exact same feelings as you are feeling right now. The world hasn’t ended. The world won’t end. I promise.
At the end of the day, regardless of who wins, I can go to a park and watch the trees, and birds and kids playing in the park. Here in suburbia, not of that stuff really changes. Sure, it’s important to vote your values, but the world isn’t gonna end anytime soon.
