The incident occurred about six minutes after Southwest flight 1496 took off from Hollywood Burbank Airport in Los Angeles County.

Takeoff/landing is by FAR the most dangerous time on a plane. Like, even “in theory” there are just SO MANY more factors that could go wrong compared to when its just cruising in the air.
