Might be showing the tiny hole in the gas pipe that allowed in enough water to seize the engine? Just a guess. I don’t know a lot about marine engines, even less about Russian designs, but water does not compress and can absolutely destroy an engine. The combustion chamber in a gas engine is where the mixing of air, fuel, and sometimes oil occurs. A piston rides inside that chamber under tight mechanical tolerances. If you allow water into the mix, and the piston attempts to compress that along with the fuel / air / sometimes oil, you get a situation where the water won’t compress so something mechanical in the engine will. Can cause piston connecting rods to bend / break, can cause combustion chamber or sealing ring damage, can throw the engine out of time and cause issues on the valve train or crank shaft, sometimes even drive shafts. Would usually mean a full engine rebuild, and could mean an entire new engine block. Not an easy thing to fix.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but divorce law needs some big changes. I spent over 50k fighting an ex in court as she tried to take my house and savings that predated our marriage. I don’t have a problem with the no-fault part, that’s fine you want out you should be able to leave, but property rights stuff and the cost of a divorce both need big changes.

This is a tough one because every divorce is different, and I don’t want to turn this into a huge rant, but I’m still in this process and a woman I married only 4 years ago may take my house leaving my daughter and I without a home. She’s also coming after my retirement accounts, some of which predated the marriage, and she’s refusing to negotiate which has already forced me to take this to a judge for a decision. Financially, this has ruined my savings. I’ve maxed out credit cards fighting for my rights as a parent. Basic stuff here, I’m just talking about my right to have the kiddo 50% of the time shit like that.

I didn’t do anything torid in this case she just wanted to leave, which again is fine, but she’s essentially bankrupting me on the way out in a ploy to take my life savings and home. There is nothing I can do about this, it is how the process works in Colorado. Be careful before saying I do kiddos, you’re signing away a lot of your rights and property when you do that. Especially if there is a big difference in networth / socioeconomic status, consider a prenup. If he/she says no to the prenup, bail.

Funny to see this here, I actually played this last night for the first time in a year. I have a friend who is a diehard and wanted to play so I finally gave in as he’s played helldiver’s with me a number of times recently.

Anywho, the game is still unoptimized and buggy as shit. We did some new mission where you fly to the same base you’ve seen 5k times and take an elevator underground then you attempt to upload data while servers are overheating for some reason, and NPCs randomly spawn in elevators. Glitched out getting on the elevator and fell through the floor, adds spawning in elevators would just sit there and do nothing staring at the wall until you shot them. Got killed once, did not respawn in the ship as I had tied my identity to the bed - instead spawned back at my origin base - later found my dead body under the med bed in the ship. Enemy NPCs rubber banging all over the place, so we’re my buddy and I the net code clearly has major issues. Tried to pickup a container at one point and for some reason that injured me. The inventory system to loot guys is difficult to use / buggy as all hell. The same terrible interaction system where you hold F and use mouse to interact with things is ridiculously janky. The star navigation system is the same broke crap I remember from years ago, you can never smoothly set destination or even find the destination you want to go for. They’ve changed the flight controls for the 578th time for no reason. NPCs in my home spawn were walking into walls and glitching on stairs. I could go on.

Still no news on Squadron 42, still no firm release date, no new significant content in years (except ship sales!!!), pyro still not playable for non bootlickers, no jump gates, all the ground bases look exactly the same, no compelling gameplay loops you shoot shit in space jousting or you go to one of 700 identical basses on the ground to pickup boxes or shoot laggy NPCs. There is no “game” here it drives like crap for a project over a decade in the making with that much money wasted. I have no idea why people are still “playing” it, and no idea why so many continue to throw money at it.
