Literally not what they said. They said “supporting,” which is different. One doesn’t need to vote in order to support. But by giving equal support to all candidates, you bear some tiny responsibility for whoever wins regardless of whether the winning candidate is “good” or “bad.”

Obama asked permission from McConnell to release the info about Trump. He could have just done it, or even done it regardless, but he didn’t.

That, and the way he wasted the first six months of his first term trying to be bipartisan, are two of his biggest mistakes ever and radicals altered the course our country would take. I’ll genuinely never forgive him.

He’s setting up a go at the presidency. He knows that the DNC will want him to lean conservative, but he doesn’t want to be painted as flip flopping or pandering, so he’s leaning into it early. Now when the GOP inevitably calls him a woke far left extremist (or whatever buzz words they’re using by that time) he can point back to this period as proof that he’s “always been a centrist” who can appeal to non-MAGA conservatives.

Of course, he and the rest of the DNC haven’t figured out yet that conservative voters are NEVER going to vote for the LESS conservative party.

You know countries can refuse aide, right? Nobody is forcing them to accept the money. Because, you know, they’re a sovereign nation with the authority to make decisions for themselves. You even said it yourself

But hey, believe whatever you want. Me, I think we should take responsibility for the harm we’ve done to the world and offer to make amends in some way or another. I don’t think it’s right to take a shit in somebody else’s yard and tell them it’s their problem. But again, that’s me.

Are you suggesting that we shouldn’t try to solve problems that we created? That if we create a problem, intentionally or not, that we should just say to the world “ok you deal with it now”?

You’re painting a false dichotomy. We can take care of all these domestic issues, and we can give foreign aide. It wouldn’t even be hard, it would require a small fraction of the military budget or a slight to most increase of taxes on corporations and the ultra rich.

But some people don’t want to give money to poor/starving people, regardless of how much it costs. You could end all foreign aide and all the money would just go… somewhere else that isn’t poor people’s pockets.
