SCROTUS absolutely fucked us with Citizens United. “MoNeY = SpEeCh!?” Congress failed us by not passing campaign finance reform or any relevant laws. Americans failed us by being easily influenced by political ads and generally brain dead.

Potential damage. It’s much easier to destroy things than to build them, and the damage can be done quickly. (Even more so when a handpicked court gives the president more power.) People should fear deranged fascists and keep them out of office.

I can only imagine the kind of impenetrable bubble these handful of people live in. Especially after a decade or more. Making up (increasingly unprecedented) rules that 1/3 of a billion people must live by. With no possible repercussions. We should’ve been very careful who we added to this court.

Indeed. She must be keeping very busy. I haven’t read much about her in a while (since she publicly defended him from sex scandals).

I wonder how she really feels about his spiralling mental illnesses and tragic obsessions (social media, conspiracies, politics). He seems quite useless and irrelevant to any business decisions these days. Just another investor to keep happy.

Agreed, the relentless ads are intolerable (probably due to fewer listeners, which leads to a death spiral, much like antenna TV). I haven’t heard anyone recommend radio since before the iPod. I’d prefer nature/noise as well.

Mike is barely in control of his party, just ignored them and Donnie by “funding the government” (what a controversy!) and is probably about to lose his job (either by his party, or by election). Zelenskyy should not pay this stunt much attention; just have someone privately tell them what they want to hear, and carry on.

I’m really disappointed that we don’t yet have the “press X to activate impenetrable orb shield” that videogames have had for decades.

First it was, “I’m going to Springfield!” Then it was, “…in a couple weeks.” Like his healthcare plan and infrastructure week, it was then that we all knew it wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.

Once he loses his value (potential president), and fails to pay debts to his owners, things will get interesting. I don’t hold much hope in our justice system properly punishing him for his crimes. But I hope his life is hell (see Guiliani) and his cult is quickly hijacked by an even more incompetent bunch of opportunists, extremists and unelectable losers.

Those early digital years were brutal. 28 Days Later looks worse with every passing year, probably never fixable (the cam’s resolution and quality was just too low).

Agreed. I thought it was one of the best things out of her mouth at the event (which was surprisingly well done, worth a watch). I think people want to see more honest, unprepared remarks from her (she’s been really staying on message). But I doubt there will be many more events like this with hosts like Oprah, who is quite skilled at producing these moments.
