During the last election, there were a band of Yahoo’s running around with a spray paint marker putting blue dots in front of houses that had Democrat yard signs.

They’re preparing for civil war. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but they are marking targets.

For years, the American center-left has been casting these threats as illegitimate. Gravy seals, yall queda, meal team six, etc.

And now since they have successfully downplayed this threat, we are woefully unprepared. People need to get armed, now.

        That doesn’t matter

All that matters is the side the army takes

Now if you’re looking to start a terrorist group, that would be much more effective than buying a gun. However there are obvious downsides to that too

Ahh , yes two sugars please.

Now tell me again why you feel that forcing a mother with a fatal pregnancy to go full term to kill herself is better than a boarding the fetus.

Well you see, other people, not this girl would take advantage of it. And she’s in God’s hands anyway.

Mmm, this is quite good is it Yorkshire Gold?

And when a child shows up to your door and rings the bell looking for help how is it that you believe you’re in the right to shoot them in the face?

Well, you see, man has to protect himself…

I really don’t think I could stomach tea with these people.

At some point in your adulthood, you’re going to need to learn the difference between anecdotes and actual statistics/evidence. And guess what, you’re going to often find out that your initial thoughts were completely incorrect.

But that’s fine because it means you learned something.

Maybe that thing for you, today, could be that no number of personal anecdotes, no matter how powerful they may seem, can form a cogent argument. It’s basically meaningless at any statistically significant level.

Do you believe unverified platformers and anecdotal scenarios experienced by specific people speaking of a problem as fact and accurate?

If I got on tiktok and spewed nonsensical problems and attributed them to a rat outbreak that may or may not exist, will that become truth? How many viewers will I need for it to become truth?

It appears people have already made up their mind whether it’s accurate or not, so there is no use in continuing the conversation. At what point is something truth vs. anecdotal. Do you need 100 videos, 1000 videos, or more? I’ll just leave this point and end the conversation here. If that’s what you truly want for your area, embrace it no matter what the outcome.

Quantity of of someone’s opinion doesn’t make it truth. My area is fine. I don’t have hundreds of tiktokers complaining about our community. And if they are, they’re yelling into thin air without any foundational issues.

Take what you see online with a grain of salt. Social media isn’t your source of accurate information. It’s how conspiracies start.

          1. Trusting YouTube and TikTok over… Hmmm, I don’t know, the US census, US department of Labor, dozens of scholarly studies, hundreds of reputable modern American sociologists, anthropologists, and other educated people who’ve come to a general consensus, seems like a bad start to form an educated opinion.

          2. The average human is sorrowfully terrible at understanding scale. “It’s not just a few people, it’s many” is a vague statement. What is many? Compared to what? “Almost 500 THOUSAND cases of cholera were reported last year!! Half a million people!! It’s going to kill us all!!” Yeah, but that’s 0.0000625% of humans. More than twice that many people die from accidents while playing sports for recreation. It doesn’t mean we don’t help people with cholera, and it doesn’t mean we ban sports globally; to use that as an example of a greater issue is just disingenuous or ignorant.

“Many” doesn’t mean most, it doesn’t even mean a considerable percentage. Many could just as easily be an insignificant percentage.

Im trans and I have multiple trump people in my neighborhood. My partner and I have agreed us putting up either pride flags or Harris signs would simply make ourselves targets since we live in a red state and county. I don’t want people like this to put me on a list so they can come and attack the house if their fascist leader comes into power. Something that while they would want to do, I’m not positive they’d actually have the guts to do.

May I suggest you take up learning a martial art?

Not sure what they’re like in your area, but when I learned Karate as a kid in the 90s/00s, everyone was treated according to their skill level and discipline, gender/sex is irrelevant (beyond cups for guys and thick sports bras for gals).

Its not likely to make you bullet proof, but it does stand a decent chance at bettering your physical and mental health, give you more options when a gun is not part of the scenario.

Martial arts and guns can give people a false sense of security. Who wants to devote a huge portion of their life to preparing for personalize warfare? LARPers live for that crap. On the other hand, it is wise to have a method of self defense as a normal life plan.
The absolute best defense is avoidance whether getting away or even moving your place of residence. There are many places where people aren’t bat-shit crazy.
Forget martial arts if someone has deadly intentions. Get a short shot gun and learn safety and security first. Then learn your firearm very intimately, both how it works and how to use it so well that muscle memory is instinctive. Then, learn how to set a trap where you have the advantage even if you aren’t super proficient. Most of all watch this short video.

If I paraded a quarter of the signs, flags, offensive bumper stickers, et. al., of some of my neighbors in my red state, I would just expect that my property would be vandalized, my family threatened, my life endangered. I’m intentionally avoiding showing up on any “lists” that might be composed regarding people from different tribes. It’s not right that this is a problem, but it is reality.

So…I’m with you. Fascists are bad, and we need to make sure that Fascists can’t hide their fascism when and if we get this country sorted and back on its feet. But I have questions!

            • How do we ensure that we only catch Fascists? Your Magatmap seems to require an image, but no description.
            • What stops me from cooking up an AI image of somebody I don’t like with Trump flags and swastika arm bands and getting them submitted to your system?
            • What happens if this guy was a Trumpet in 2016, but is apologetic about it now and swears he’s no longer a trumpet?
            • How do you ensure that innocent people not get caught up in your MAGAt Map?
            • What are we supposed to do with the map afterwards?

Liberals have a good reason for questioning your methods here. We don’t want to become what we hate because when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares into you. We’ve seen it happen time and time again. And those of us who look at your suggestion wonder if we will become Nazis trying to fight Nazis your way.
