When passing any United States border, turn off your phone. Put it away. An agent can grab an unlocked phone in your hand. Cellebrite can crack most iPhones and Android devices, but the encryption from the off state is much harder to crack.

The vast majority of iPhones run current versions of iOS, and Cellbright cannot break into iPhones running iOS 17.6 or later. So, for iPhone users, just make sure you have a passcode and keep your phone updated. You’ll be safe.

Android users, beware. You’re screwed. Your malware-based phones are privacy sieves.

Go on, downvote me. You know I’m right. I’m not gonna read any of your replies.
