When Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz first ran for Congress in 2006, his campaign repeatedly made false statements about the details of his 1995 arrest for drunk and reckless driving.

I mean, who hasn’t taken Nebraska at 90% acceleration? It’s boring. Who hasn’t been told by the trooper to drive to hospital to take a blood test? What’s the big deal?

I mean, who hasn’t trapped a woman in a dressing room and forcibly finger fucked her against her objections? Life is boring. Who hasn’t paid to fuck a porn actress while his wife was pregnant and then used campaign funds paid through a lawyer to keep her quiet? What’s the big deal?

You’ve obviously never driven in the Midwest. States like Nebraska, Kansas, Montana and Wyoming have roads that go on forever through flat farm land for the most part. Do people speed through those states? For sure, except in Kansas where it’s closer to a hanging offense.

Troopers are also a little different on how they manage things.

What about all the fraud, sexual assaults, and rape, huh? Oh wait, that’s the other guy. This guy owned up to his mistake half a dozen years ago and quit drinking. When is Trump going to stop committing fraud and sexual assaults?

      Yep

Walz has subsequently acknowledged the facts of the case, admitting during his 2018 campaign for governor of Minnesota that he had been drinking and driving.

Worth noting he won in 2018 and again in 2022 after all this stuff was well publicized throughout both campaigns

“I like people who didn’t take the plea deal 30 years ago” - Trump with his 34 felonies, probably.
