Fair point. This community doesn’t usually bring a genuine smile to my face though, so we might consider loosening the rules a bit. I’d hate to have missed this.

I was in NH this weekend and while driving saw a lawn sign on one house that said “Save America, Vote Republican”, and right next door on the neighbor’s lawn was a sign that said “Save the Planet, Vote Democrat”. It was glorious.

Farmers in general vote Red, not because they like Republicans anymore than Democrats, but because they get shit on MORE by Democrats.
Small farmers get shit on by the EPA while the EPA allows larger offenses made by mega farms to go unpunished. Small farms have a reliance on FSA loans and they’re just better under Republican administrations because under a Democrat, those loans end up with those same aforementioned mega farms.
Democrats don’t stand unequivocally for family farmers, they stand for mega farms, monopoly seeding and outright farming control.

As much as I agree with the sentiment, I won’t allow him to dominate my headspace.
It’s not about that.
It’s about dispelling the idea that everyone agrees with them.
Since they’re the only ones weird enough to do things like this, they don’t see that there are people who disagree, so they believe the lies that things are rigged.
As a former rural Republican, stuff like this really makes me smile. I’d love to have coffee and just bullshit with this person.
