Maybe soon, the maker of this bot will realize it’s doing nothing but causing bloat to articles. If it’s made to be helpful, but literally no one wants it, is it still considered to be helpful?

Id be cool with the bot if it was accurate, but I’ve seen several sources where it’s just plain wrong. Calling CNN a center left outlet is fucking nuts. Id rather have nothing than give people bad info.

I thought it judges them based on US political spectrum, so if CNN is not on the center-left, where would it be?

Well the issue many people have is that the spectrum is drawn so that center is non existent, and everything left of it supports government owned means of production in some way, and to the right is private owned means of production.

To say anything is left of center, and also pro private company ownership of the means of production is just incorrect/ couldn’t exist.

So those people probably believe it you replaced the terms left/right with other terms, like leans blue or leans red, it would be more accurate. As blue in the U.S. is right of center. (Imagine CNN being against privately owned companies, we’ve never seen it)

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
