I hate the moronic way in which Trump speaks. It’s such a waste of everyone’s time and energy.

Nobody actually listens to Trump speak because our brain cells don’t recover as fast as they die off trying to make sense of what comes out of his fat mouth.

I hate it almost as much as I hate Dr. Brain Worm speak. RFK Jr always sounds like he’s got the world’s collective phlegm stuck in his throat when he speaks.

Truth is we want to believe “nobody” listens to him, a lot of people listen to him. That’s why we are where we are. I saw a group of 60-70 year olds protesting his bullshit by my house today (small mountain town) and it was awesome. Granted, I live in California but it’s a majority red area and I think even those that did listen to him are starting to actually hear him. And they’re not ok with it, he won’t succeed ultimately. There’s hope here yet.

The world listens to him. Listens to him more than anyone else in the entire world. He’s the most listened to in the entire world. By the way he’s a rapist, pedophile, and convicted felon but you wouldn’t know that just by looking at him. You just wouldn’t know that. But it’s true.

Remember not a lot of the world speaks English. When I talked to some of my Japanese friends and language exchange partners prior to this election they weren’t sure about trump but typically described him as someone who was a powerful leader

Also keep in mind that they generally are super polite and in that “if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all” space. Except for a small handful I’m very close with even now they won’t say much bad, will just ask “how are things in America”, “what’s the perception of him in America”, etc and will artfully dodge the question of “what’s the perception of him in Japan. Except for my one friend who’s more outspoken and we are a bit closer, who is like “end the trade alliance and force all the military bases to close!”

But to my original point much of his crass and idiotic behavior doesn’t necessarily translate well and usually doesn’t make the news on NHK. It’s kind of similar to how American news headlines do him so many favors. If you only know trump through Washington post, NYT, etc headlines he sounds so much more competent than he is. But if watch him speak you realize he is just so goddamn stupid

I think its funny but also sad. Since I dont live in America, I dont feel so annoyed, but obviously its very embarressing for America that this is the best man that could be found for the job as president.

I’m American but I did not grow up in the USA.

When I moved to the USA, I was like “Wow, this country is abusive and exploitative AF.”

Half of Americans didn’t vote for Trump. The problem is that most Americans did not even bother to vote.

American elections are tilted towards Republicans because they gerrymandered districts, made voting harder by removing voting places to create long waiting lines. You also have to take the day off work to go vote and a lot of people cannot afford to do that. They also made it illegal to give voters waiting any water. It’s all fucking absurd.

Young Americans are victims of a system created to exclude them from being represented by their government.

And what is happening to Americans is happening to all other countries as well, including yours.

That thing with taking the day off to go vote is incredible. They could put that day on a weekend, like we do in my country, and I assume most countries.

I dont know, America is intentionally going for being a very bad country to live in unless you are rich.
