Strictly speaking while you can prove things in mathematics, in science you can only disprove things. A theory which survives for a long time after a large number of experiments is widely accepted and can be trusted, but it is not proven.

Yes I think that it will be with Iran this time too. I mean, nobody can know with Trump since he’s an avatar of Chaos, but it is a good option. Big and powerful enough that you don’t accidentally win in 48 hours. Not an ally of any western country. Already have propaganda queued up since 1979 or so.
I’m pretty sure Trump will start a war before the elections, both to boost his ratings and to justify extraordinary powers because of the emergency that he will have just created.
You think things will be better in Trump’s 3rd term? 🤔
Sorry what?
Are you implying that the 1960s and 1970s were more politically or economically just than today?
In the sense that the wealth disparity was less, okay? Maybe? Is that all that you mean?
World War 1 was so traumatic for Europe because the terrible weapons of mass destruction that they had been using to dominate the rest of the world were suddenly being used on them.
I think this is probably similar for people in the US who are not in a minority now, along the lines you describe.
I don’t think that they were being ironic…
Why? I struggle to find any common thread between those four countries in the 1920’s and 1930’s, and certainly have no idea why people living there at that time are being called stupid.
The US in 2024 is incredibly far removed from any of those countries in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Sorry but this comparison doesn’t make sense to me.
It can be done. The website provider can generate a request that it forwards to you. You then pass on this request to the age verifier, who can answer “yes person is over 16” without knowing why you want to know, or who generated the request.
The requester wouldn’t know your age, just that you were old enough.
There are a few problems.
One is that the website could embed some identifier in the signature of their request. But any information there can be easily send by the web site provider to the age verifier directly if they wanted so this is not a big problem.
Another problem is that the age verifier could look at times when requests were submitted and create a sort of “fingerprint” based on when requests arrived for different sites. This could be partially helped by having browsers request age verification randomly in the background any time you use a browser.
By the way, my tinfoil hat uses Arch Linux.
EDIT: now I see that I’ve just repeated the same joke that someone already made better in a different post. Leaving my post up for posterity so I remember my shame.
Again? I guess I missed Microsoft being impacted in any way. 🤔
For a lot of women the bathroom is the only way to escape unwanted male attention.
Is it? I mean, 100 years ago you might all be reading different things, with either a record on or possibly the radio. Why is it terrible that now you’re all… reading different things together in one room?
Which is why the Supreme Court is hearing the case. Two wealthy industries fighting out who gets to extract the most wealth.
I shouldn’t feed the troll, but…
Why are vertical videos bad?
