Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation Wednesday banning cultivated or lab-grown meat in Florida, placing it within a conspiracy by global “elites” to destroy agriculture in the interests of fighting climate change. During a ceremony in the Hardee County Cattleman’s Arena in Wauchula the governor compared the threat of lab-grown meat to citrus greening and hurricanes. […]

That’s an unfortunate way to live. Personally I’m hoping for a Biden victory, and also for you to have a long and happy life that contains the minimum of suffering required for your growth as a person. Wanting people hurt is a kind of happiness / satisfaction that is like using dirty gas. It might work for a while, but it degrades the engine over time.

Elites are pushing a ban on progressive ideas and giving people a choice/options Rather than supporting the entrenched industries the elites own, I can see more truth in the headline spun that way.

Could anyone in Florida not sue the state for obstruction of the free market and access to food items do to political agendas? Seems like a violation of rights beyond the first. Shit even saying it is against your religion, which would hold of you place science as reasoning for your choices… I seem to remember a religious group Desantis wants out of Florida and tried to refuse to recognize because of it.

DeSantis might easily be considered part of the elite himself, as a Yale- and Harvard Law School-educated governor of the third-largest state who frequently travels by a state-own executive jet and was criticized during his presidential campaign for relying on private rather than commercial jets.

But yeah, he’s talking about Davos (DAVOS!!! ZOMG!!!1111) and the global elites, and the dog whistle is not all that much of a dog whistle, really…
