J.D. Vance has joined the chorus of conservatives who have begun claiming that President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race constitutes a so-called “coup” in the Democratic Party.
In an interview filmed on Saturday with Fox News’s Jesse Watters, a clip of which aired on Fox & Friends Monday morning, Watters asked former President Donald Trump and his newly minted running mate, Vance, the new question plaguing Republicans: “Is it a coup against Joe Biden?” Both of them fumbled their answers.
“Uh, sort of,” Trump said unsure, looking over to Vance for explanation.
They know it’s not a coup, they are diluting the meaning of the word. Since they likely plan to use another coup attempt if they lose.
Well, at least THIS time we can call in some fucking muscle to put that shit right down. I hope to god they lose and try something dumb and this time we are ready for them - even arrest/disrupt them prior, ideally. Get more of them in the prison industrial complex and keep them out of politics.
I also hope they lose so that the J6 insurrectionists don’t get pardoned by that asshat donnie.
Biden running against Trump and winning legitimately in 2020 they called a coup too, and they said Jan 6th wasn’t one. At some point they just show they don’t understand the meaning of the word.
No the point is to use the word so often that it loses its meaning and then anyone who uses it will be instantly written off.

If Biden died, and the Dems still ran him, I’d vote for his corpse because he’s not Trump. If Harris ends up the nominee, I’ll vote for her for the same reason. But I’m not excited about it.
They don’t have anything they can use against her right now. They want to get her in office for a few months so they can attack every single choice she makes.

In a similar fashion, ‘literally’ now means its exact opposite, according to dictionaries like the one that broke English.

Everyone knows a coup is when a candidate steps down and endorses their VP. Biden is still POTUS, with the immense powers of a President, but he has of course been overthrown.
