At least they’re smart about this stuff. Let’s hope they also have something worthwhile to show, because I imagine the Gen Z:ers won’t exactly be ecstatic about turning on a TikTok stream and seeing Hillary’s smug sneer.

Why do people still talk about Hillary like she’s literally Satan? Yeah she lost an election against an exciting outsider, but she WAS secretary of state and has a storied political career

At first, I thought it was a typo and they meant “stream virtually” … but no. These young’ens don’t have time to rotate their phones 90 degrees.

I can kind of see the benefits when it’s a single person speaking from a podium. Everything else though is just awkward to frame properly.

Yup, that’s what it means. It just means that it will be a video formatted to watch on your phone when it is upright, not rotated.

This just feels wrong to me. Sometimes I forget how old I am and then something like this happens.

Big same. Probably wouldn’t watch if it was ONLY available in that awful format.

It’s ok for short videos, but I’m not going to be holding my phone upright to watch for several hours…

Nothing helps convey the energy of a crowd more than a very narrow viewing angle that can only get a few people clearly in frame at any given time. That’s why they always film sports through a crack in the door.
