Are we sure it’s dead? This feels more like bad Sci-fi. Clearly the worm has taken control of the host.

I am a worm speaking through my host right now and I’ll tell ya buddy. This ain’t one of ours talking.

I’m a tapeworm though, maybe worms that don’t have to work so hard to get to the brain and control the host are trying to find reasons to get a bunch of humans in close proximity together under conditions that make it easy for them to spread.

Gardening for your mental health? Sure! Gets you some sunshine and exercise, and a healthy snack if you’re lucky.

Government farms run by the Brainworm administration? Pass.

This will be an underground facility where the other hosts hold you down while a new brain worm is forced into your head through your ear.

I read Animorphs. I know how this thing goes.

Guy with actual brain worm, who ate a dog, won’t ‘pick a side’ on the ‘9/11 issue’, thinks vaccines are a giant conspiracy… thinks he is qualified to give mental health advice…

Though this apparently runs in the family, who decided to lobotomize his aunt and then pretend she did not exist.

It’s funny. I got an ad for his campaign yesterday about how he won’t force us to wear masks.

Like, bro. It’s 2024. I see like 1 mask a month at this point.

I was curious about the dog story - apparently he insists it was a goat, and there doesn’t seem to be conclusive evidence that it wasn’t.

I found this in an article where he would not, however, deny sexual assault.

      Yikes.

I’m guessing rational people and then idiots who scream “jet fuel can’t melt steel beams!”. I get the skepticism and I wouldn’t be surprised if United States politicians allowed 9/11 to happen for political purposes. After all, they have killed and will kill more people for less. Still, I doubt 9/11 was an inside job.

He wants to “concentrate” them into camps where they can receive goverment treatments. How thoughtful.

You just know Trump begged him to be his running mate.

Uhhhh, that just gives people more reason to be depressed. Just about every young person I know is on antidepressants because life is absolutely shitty in a capitalist dystopia.

That’s funny. I’ve been thinking, every home, or at least community, should have a wellness farm. Pharmacies are an untrustworthy source for connective wellness.

Hey, here’s a great idea. Let’s spend decades normalizing conversations about mental health. I was literally saying to my therapist how I’m glad to be alive at a time when this isn’t demonized last week. This will increase the portion of the population that can undergo treatment without being stereotyped as weak or deviant or whatever.

Now let’s run for president and have a platform where we target that group in some way to “other” them. This is a great idea. This will get lots of votes. /s

    What a dumbass.

If we ignore the brainworm parts, there are some good points here:

    • More funding for rehab facilities (though I’d demand increased oversight and prosecution efforts as well, because the industry is rife with abuse and more subsidies would encourage more abuse if we don’t increase oversight too)
    • Offering nutritional assistance with rehab efforts
    • Offering low-stakes work programs as part of rehab
    • Encouraging community and social interaction outside of the inpatient setting
    • Treating behavioral addictions like social media addiction as genuine addictions
    • Providing options for people who have been over-prescribed or mis-prescribed to correct their regimen under close supervision
