I don’t see how anyone can see this other than pathetic and embarrassing.
Wow. He sold advertising space the same way Pepsi gets their brand into a tv show.
If your boycott list is starting to get a bit hard to keep track of…

It looks like they were meant to be there as props to demonstrate how the price of food as increased. (the blurry signs above seem to be showing % increases in the price of goods)
Of course, they naturally didn’t think through how it would look when zoomed in 😂
Thanks for clarifying, I had a feeling the context might be something like that.
My guess is that his team set it up this way as aid to focus on economic issues instead of personal attacks and self aggrandization. But Trump’s gonna Trump and he said as much in the Interview 🫠.
Unfortunately these companies align with trump n his weird crew. Sad.
There goes my go to sausage for my biscuits and gravy. 😒
You should try replacing it with chorizo 🤤
Right? Who attaches to Trump’s brand today? No matter your thoughts on him, that seems like a waste of money based on how the narrative has been going.
Weird and sad. But mostly weird.
He certainly is rambling on and on.
I doubt he’s ever seen those products before, or bought them himself.
Context? I try not to listen to his speeches. What’s happening here?
I hate defending the guy, but let’s not make shit up. He’s trying to make a point about the cost of inflation on groceries
Trump began by highlighting inflation and hitting Harris on the cost of grocery prices as he stood between two tables full of food store items such as cereal, deli meat, milk, eggs, baby formula and bread with a sign saying, “Price Increases since Kamala Harris took office.”
Thanks.
As with all social media, the truth is often not at the top.
The foods being “advertised” at his speech.
Okay… so not a donation pile for the needy. Got it. Not that I thought that… just wanted to be sure.
So he’s essentially adding commercials to his speeches lol
Are companies paying him to promote their products or their rivals’?
Ew
I like Honey Bunches of Oats
The generic version at aldi is good. And they don’t mess around with ai price fixing yet.
I’ve found the knockoff versions to be so close that it doesn’t make a difference. But this makes me sad too
I’m wondering if Vance was chosen solely for his name being similar to Pence. Trump/Pence, Trump/Vance. No one will notice!
Makes it easy to alter the spray painted plywood sign next to your trailer.
I’m waiting for the day Trump and/or other politicians come out wearing ad-laden jumpsuits, like they wear in NASCAR.
“Brought to you by Carl’s Jr”
Fuck you. I’m eating.
Wait is he doing one of those stupid ass news things again because he’s a loser?
Lol wtf.
So it looks like we are boycotting Post, Folgers, and Jimmy Dean. Probably owned by one company though. Good thing I don’t buy any of those brands, but I do get their knockoff Aldi brand which is better anyways.
Start going on a no processed food diet. It sucks at first but it is cheap and you will feel better
Post belongs to Post Holdings, which is publicly traded. Folgers is a subsidiary of Proctor & Gamble, and Jimmy Dean is a subsidiary of Tyson Foods. It seems unlikely that all three companies would even support their products being hocked together in such a manner. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was unauthorized and he’s attempting to appear like he has more support than he really does.
Edit: spotted Maxwell House in there too, and that’s owned by yet another company, Kraft Heinz.
Folgers is owned by the J.M. Smucker Co now. It used to be P&G but changed hands many years ago.
I can’t boycott Tyson Foods because I already avoid their shit like the fucking plague. They manage to make most factory farms look ethical.
If not Tyson, then who else is going to step in to ensure our kids are employed in slaughter houses? Will someone think about the kids for once!?
If, like me, you were questioning whether this was actually shilling, check out this Lemmy post with Folger’s political contributions
…well then.
