“I have spent my career inviting diversity of opinion. I think it’s important to have people at the table when some of the most important decisions are being made that have different views, different experiences,” Harris said. “And I think it would be to the benefit of the American public to have a member of my Cabinet who was a Republican.”

Removed, post continues to use the strong verb “pledges” which does not appear anywhere in the article.

Poster was requested to change the language multiple times.

Editorialized headline, correct it or we’ll have to remove it.

Headline reads: “Harris says she would appoint a Republican to her Cabinet if elected”

Look at the link (the actual URL) - you will see it still shows most of the language of the original headline - which is as I posted it.

No where does it use the word “pledges”, which is a stronger promise than what any of the copy reads and what she actually said. I am once again asking you to correct the headline.

        Your current headline is misleading.

Which is why I’m giving you a chance to correct it rather than removing it outright.

This is the 3rd ask. There won’t be a 4th.

People freaking out about this are forgetting that Biden did the same thing, and it turned out well. He pulled several Republicans out of elected office and put them in jobs they were legitimately qualified for, without giving them power to directly shape policy.

      List some.

Biden has no Republican cabinet members (notably not a position “without power to directly shape policy”). The only Republican appointments I can think of were Powell (bad choice, already in the position) and Wray (also bad choice, already in the position).

Democrat in office: I think it would be okay to have a member of the KKK and Q-Anon cult in my party.

Republican in office: Fuck the woke commie libs, fascists all the time.

Hey can we get an appointed member who’s not going to betray Harris and try to just privatize every thing in the cabinet they control? No? Corporate donors said otherwise? Oh well, maybe 2032.

Seriously. We can be better people than them without having to let the fox into the henhouse.

I’d be more impressed if she pledged to put an actual leftist in her cabinet. The right already has more power than it deserves.

The only thing swing voters are going to think is “if Harris admits that a Republican makes the White House more effective, shouldn’t we elect more of them?”

And you wonder why she’s neck and neck with Trump in the polls. If someone wants Republican policies why would they go for the light flavored one?

Always? Europe has had plenty of government coalitions with socialists during the last century.

This is probably the last US election that will make any sense.

Harris needs to NOT Fuck Around and Find Out.

This is not the time for compromise.

Majority 75-25 Win in the Electoral College, Senate and House.

You need to solidify Medicaid/Medicare with WomensRights, All Healthcare coverage till Age 25 on parental plans. Pharma crackdowns on Drug prescription prices. Stabilize borrowing/lending money to Rich A-holes who are screwing the economy and stock market. Infrastructure overhaul roads, bridges and HIGH SPEED RAIL for next 10 years.

DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF <INSERT DEITY HIGHER POWER ALMIGHTY NAME> DO NOT … I REPEAT … DO NOT FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT.

This is almost literally the End-Times before we can make meaningful changes.

Meanwhile voters are not becoming more conservative with age… Because there is nothing to conserve for them.

Id add tax assets in general… including stock portfolios. Start by putting the bar at all assets valued over… 10 million or something and move the bar down over time to something that excludes assets owned by 90% of the population. Call it the top 10% tax or something.

Oh, and assets wilfully hidden from this tax though complex scènes, offshoring etc will be seized by the government in full and penalized at 100pct.

Pipedreams are all good and fine. First get her elected into office. Then do all the planning you want after Nov’2024.

Rich donors will not appreciate all the “go after rich people”. Get her elected. Everything else follows after that.
